Beginnings

The call came last week that the renovation or (we hope and pray not, but all depends on what is revealed when the house is gutted ...) demolition of the Peter MacCallum House should begin shortly.  The house, also known as Kinloch Cottage, was built in 1828 and is deemed to be the oldest house in St. Peter's Bay, Prince Edward Island.

The house has been empty for five years.  Five years with no water, no electricity and no heat.  The lines of the house are still good to look at, though ... its roof line appears as straight as its neighbors when viewed across the Bay.
Looking across the end of St. Peter's Bay, February, 2015.  We had no idea we would be buying the house then!
